After I posted my last journal I ended up disappearing for a month, so that massive dump of pictures that I was complaining about having to do never happened. Which means it will be happening soon. I was supposed to work on post editing everything this week but some emotional crap happened and I have not been in the right place mentally to work on my art. The dump will be coming though, especially since I just did two photo shoots in recent weeks and they came out really well.
I received my Kindle2 and I am thoroughly satisfied with my purchase. It is so easy to use, very intuitive and it has definitely increased the amount I have been reading lately. My only complaint about it really is the size of the library they have available. Its not that the library is small, there are just a bunch of books that people have recommended to me that I can't find. My purchases so far have been
Manifold: Time by Stephen Baxter (and the other two in the series),
Coraline by Neil Gaiman,
The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde,
Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami, and
Little Bee: A Novel by Chris Cleave. I have already finished
Coraline and I am 56% done with
Manifold: Time.
I did two photo shoots in the past few weeks. One was with my friends Carlo and Brittany, who are a lovely couple with loads of chemistry. They also are stage actors so they know how to pose and interact in ways that are pleasing to capture and look at. It was definitely a fun and laid back shoot before it started raining and we had to go inside.
The second shoot I did was with my friend and fellow photographer Samantha Scibetta ~
Int3stineNo0se. It was semi-impromptu because I really hadn't thought about any concepts I wanted to portray or any other ideas for the shoot. We decided ahead of time that we would be going to a graveyard near her house. Luckily, Sam has a lot of awesome clothing to choose from so I went to her house and sifted through her stuff to find items that stood out to me for what I was feeling that day. I ended up picking out two outfits so we ended up shooting in two places. It was great because Sam had previously shot in both places so she knew some cool spots to take pictures. I can't wait to shoot with Sam again and I already am starting to think of some ideas for next time.
I am still looking to do some shoots and I need models. I have a few of my friends lined up but I am looking for other artists to work with that I am not as familiar with (yes, I consider models artists). All of the work is going to be TFP/TFCD because I really don't have money for compensation right now. I am willing to travel to the model depending on the distance. I am really just looking for local people to work with in the NY/Northern NJ area. If you are interested please Note me or email me at AmarisSkyePhotography@gmail.com.

Light thinks it travels faster than anything but its wrong
No matter how fast light travels, it finds that darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it
